Bearing & Drive Solutions acquires Bilmar Industrial Products

PHILADELPHIA, PA - Bearing & Drive Solutions (BDS), a long-standing and trusted name in the world of Industrial Distribution since 1978, has acquired a new addition to their ever-growing industrial conglomerate; Bilmar Industrial Products. This acquisition was made official on July 6, 2021, and will help to enhance the already established and reputable distribution services available through Bearing & Drive Solutions.

Combined, the organizations will now present 16 locations of distribution, 3 electrical and mechanical repair shops, G3 Automation (the BDS Automation and Panel Building Division), Talon Bearing (The Asset Recovery Group), L.M. Robbins (lightweight conveyor belting and fabrication), and Sealing Specialties (Sealing for Industry). In all, Bearing and Drive Solutions will now be home to over 250 employees, thus further solidifying BDS as one of the largest independent distributors in all of the northeastern United States.

With roots dating back to 1962, Bilmar Industrial saw its inception under Bill Bridge and Joe Marchlik in Chester, Pennsylvania. Though Bilmar remained in the Marchlik family for many years, it was eventually acquired by current co-owners James Reyes and Anthony Ottaviano in 2015. Together, James and Anthony have worked hard to vastly expand Bilmar’s sales and available product lines. Now, with nearly six decades of knowledge and experience within the Industrial Distribution markets specializing in bearings, v-belts, gearboxes, electric motors, and all other power transmission products, Bilmar Industrial Products joins the BDS team and will undoubtedly be extremely beneficial to all customers both longstanding and new.

Bearing & Drive Solutions was founded in 1978 in Souderton, PA. Originating as a distributor of bearings and mechanical transmission products, BDS has now developed into a full-blown powerhouse providing effective industrial maintenance solutions in all areas, including Fluid Power, Material Handling, Automation, and Mechanical and Electrical Repair.

With the addition of Bilmar Industrial Products to the Bearing & Drive Solutions family, the combination of experience, technical expertise, and immediate product availability now available to customers throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and surrounding states will be enhanced yet again.
